At the end of the week, I’ll move to Eindhoven to start a new adventure with a Dutch company: I’ll leave my current work, my family, my friends, my house. It’s a big change, but I know that once old I’ll be proud of myself.
I know that I need to improve my social skill and working skill: changing country is a big change not only because of the new work but also because you need to learn how to do things that you normally do without taking much effort in.
I’m a little afraid about the first time I’ll be in a supermarket, trying to decide what to buy and cook 🙂 .
It will be a challenging and stressful time, but as I said during the interview:
If I’m not afraid to start a new life in a different country, I won’t be afraid to improve as a person and developer.
I’ve decided to change blog’s categories to respect my new life, so fewer categories, and more contents. I think that I’ll change them again for future needs, but for the moment the blog will have these categories:
- Briefly – quick thought, resource, snippets
- Development – all programming related things
- Personal – things about my personal life
- Technology – about the IT world
A big thanks to Matt Gemmell for the Briefly category: he added this category to his blog recently and I’ve decided to reuse its name – it’s perfect for what I’ve in mind.
